2015 September Water in the Old Testament

Having finished Colossians at the end of August we are going to spend the Autumn term looking at how people in the bible encounter God through various bodies of water. To start with we will look in the Old Testament: In Genesis 9:1-17 (Sun 6 Sep) we look at how Noah encountered the judgement of God in the floodwaters and the grace of God in the waters of the rainbow. In Exodus 14 (Sun 13 Sep) we look at the salvation from slavery in Egypt which Moses entered into through the waters of the Red sea. In Numbers 20:1-13 (Sun 20 Sep) we look at how Moses encountered the judgement of God at the waters of Meribah. In Joshua 3 (Sun 27 Sep) we look at the promised land which Joshua entered into through the waters of the Jordan. In 2 Kings 5 (Sun 4 Oct) we look at how Naaman encountered the healing power of God in the waters of the Jordan.
