Psalm 16

¹My relationship with you, God, is my safe place,
 ²for it is the source of all goodness.

³I delight in seeing how your goodness flows in the lives of others
⁴and I turn away from other life sources which give rise to much sorrow

⁵ I acknowledge you as the source of my life
⁶ and am thankful for all that is pleasant around me.

⁷ I am thankful for your wisdom, ⁸and inner strength
⁹ which bring gladness and a sense of safety to my heart

¹⁰ I know that you will be present with me, even when I die
¹¹ bringing joy and life, forever more.
