(2018-2019) Through the FareShare we received food from local supermarkets which would otherwise go to waste and used it in some of our community groups. Some food was available, free of charge, at the end of some of our Sunday morning gathered worship around Noon.

This stopped due to the mismatch between what was available and what was required.

Food for Thought Cafe

Monthly food for used to take place approximately monthly 2018-2020. In addition to free tea and coffee, food for thought was provided by one or more speakers on a different subject each month

Evangelical Book Discussion Group

The Evangelical Book Discussion Group took place 2020-2022 monthly to discuss classic books about biblical faith both ancient and modern over zoom

Relevant Government Documents

All of our COVID policies in 2020/21 were based on the relevant Government Policy Documents - mainly Places of worship and Community Facilities. Also take note of those for Meeting with Others, Performing Arts, Leisure facilities and Open Spaces

Covid Protocols (All)

From Covid 2020-22 outbreak:

Those with Covid-19 Symptoms should not enter the building. Those who are asymptomatic are encouraged to wear a face covering, wash hands when entering & leaving, keep 1m+ distance from others where possible, give contact details at the information table for Track and Trace, and not speak above a normal speaking voice, Doors and windows are open to improve ventilation, so coats may need to be worn.

Covid Protocols (Staff)

From Covid 2020-22 outbreak:
Those responsible for activities in church buildings are responsible for meeting with others safely, wearing of face coverings, track and trace, high levels of ventilation, and the cleaning of frequently touched surfaces (e.g. door handles, tables, arms and backs of chairs)

From the 2020/22 Covid outbreak
We seek to serve our community providing a range of activities in such a way that all are able to participate, particularly those who are more cautious with regard to Covid related safety. From 24th Feb 2022 our Covid policy is that ask those entering our buildings to adopt behaviours that reduce the risk of infections and make others feel comfortable, and that we recommend that those those running activities in our buildings ventilate enough to keep CO2<1500ppm.

Coronation Big Cream Tea for 90 people with Quiz, May Pole Dancing and Community Singing followed by Songs of Praise

Pentecost Praise Walk

In some previous years at the end of our morning worship in the church building and the church photo outside the building, we walked down Cherry Hinton High Street singing songs and saving banners, stopping 2 or 3 time to hear a short reading and sing a song. We finish at the recreation ground.
