Eco Church - Next - Church Garden

  • We may maintain an area of land for native wildflowers
  • We may research and establish a mowing regime appropriate to the conservation of the grassland and wildlife present.
  • We may install bird feeders and keep them stocked.
  • We may participate in responsible native tree planting schemes in accordance with guidance from environment professionals
  • We may undertake an annual wildlife (birds, animals and plants) survey on our land.
  • We may actively encourage members of the local community to use the church land for recreation/contemplation
  • We may grow fruit and vegetables in the church garden and/or in a community garden/allotment.
  • We may investigate and then participate in a scheme, other than Eco Church, designed to promote conservation on church land (e.g. ‘Living Churchyards’)
  • We don’t think that we can put in a Bat Box, Hedgehog box, pond or wetland area that is good for wildlife.
