1 Timothy 2v11-15

(In the light of Paul’s instruction in chapter 6 for slaves to show full respect for their masters)
Heavenly Father,
* give me grace to discern how you are calling me to behave in a culture that is different to 2000 years ago.
* give me grace to learn
* give me grace to be quiet when I need to be quiet
* give me grace to discern when I am being deceived
* thank you for the childbearing that brought Jesus into the world through whom I am saved.

¹¹ A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. ¹² I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. ¹³ For Adam was formed first, then Eve. ¹⁴ And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. ¹⁵ But women^[c] will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety. ^3:1 and this is a trustworthy saying
