Isaiah 10v22-27
Book
Isaiah
Chapter
10
Start Verse
22
End Verse
27
Heavenly Father
give us grace to trust you when the destructive consequences of sin occur
give us grace to see this as an overflowing of righteousness.
(Note: Judah will be destroyed due to its turning away from Yahweh to other Gods. The destruction will come from Assyria, who will then be destroyed, for the same reason)
22A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
23 For the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will make a full end, and that determined, throughout all the earth.
24 Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, says “My people who dwell in Zion, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod. 25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation against you will be accomplished, and my anger will be directed to his destruction.” 27 It will happen in that day, that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
