Matthew 5v1-4

Heavenly father
give us grace to seek you today in our poverty of spirit and our mourning, and to be a blessing to others in their poverty of spirit and their mourning

¹ Seeing the multitudes, he went up onto the mountain.
When he had sat down, his disciples came to him. 
² He opened his mouth and taught them, saying,³ “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
    for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
⁴ Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they shall be comforted.
