July-August 2015 Colossians

Last week a bottle with a message has washed up on a Scottish beach 44 years after it was written by a Carlisle boy at the start of the 1970s. For July and August we in Cherry Hinton are going to look at a letter which was written over 1900 years ago after it was written probably in Rome by Paul As in many of the New Testament letters we will be encouraged to put into practice the things that we believe. At the start of the summer it good to be reminded to be thankful (Col 1:1-12 July 12th) As we seek to be a witness for Jesus in Cherry Hinton we behave as a church in the light of the fact that Jesus is the head of the church. (Col 1:15-23 July 19th) As we undertake acts of service (including the holiday club), we need to ensure that we work as servants of God (Col 1: 24-2:5 July 26th)
