Eco Church - Next

Encouraging members adhering to the principles of reduce, re-use, recycle, e.g. using food at home that is LOAF (Locally grown, Organic, Animal friendly, Fairtrade).

We’re could set aside some land for native wildflowers with bird feeders and keeping them stocked.

We may actively encourage members of the local community to use the church land for recreation/contemplation and investigate and then participate in a scheme, other than Eco Church, designed to promote conservation on church land (e.g. “Living Churchyards”).

We have considered extending water metering, additional LED lights, cycle rings and additional water butts, and a number of other measures.

We may organise events providing and arrange for local environmentalists, and get involved with local conservation work Family Centre users to minimise resource use.

We may commit to praying for a specific overseas environmental projects, or financially support an environmental charity.
