Heavenly Father
In the storms of life, give me grace to know that you remember me and grace to be patient as I wait for the flood waters to subside.
In the face of evil, give me grace to smell the sweet aroma of the love that is also in humankind.
1 God remembered Noah and all the animals that were with him in the ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided. 3 The waters continually receded from the earth. 4 5 months after the start of the flood he ship rested on Ararat’s mountains. 5 2 ½ months later the tops of the mountains were visible 13 after another 3 months the waters were dried up from the earth, 14and after another 2 months the earth was dry.
15 God spoke to Noah, saying, 16 “Go out of the ship, you, your family 17 and every living thing that is with you, that they may breed abundantly and be fruitful on the earth.” 18 and they did so. 20 Noah built an altar to Yahweh, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21 Yahweh smelled the pleasant aroma and said in his heart, “I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth. I will never again strike every living thing, as I have done.”
